Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Geneva, Travel to the Alps
From Geneva Airport, board a scenic train toward Verbier, skirting Lake Geneva's shoreline and vineyards. Transfer onto a smaller regional train followed by a gondola to reach your first Alpine stay.
Day 2: Explore Verbier’s Mountain Trails
Take a gondola to a panoramic viewpoint, then spend the day hiking or biking on well-marked trails with spectacular mountain and valley views.
Day 3: Transfer to Lac de Mauvoisin, Hike to a Remote Mountain Hut
Meet your guide and take a mountain bus to a glacier-fed Alpine lake. Here you'll begin your three-day hike, following rugged trails to reach a remote mountain hut for the night. Your luggage will be sent ahead to meet you at the end of your trek in La Sage.
Day 4: Cross High Passes & Overnight in Another Mountain Hut
Day two of your hike takes you across three dramatic mountain passes, traversing glacial valleys and Alpine meadows with your expert guide. Arrive at your next hut, set high in the mountains, for a well-earned rest.
Day 5: Descend into Val d’Hérens
Trek over a final high pass, navigating the iconic ladders of Pas des Chèvres. Descend into the lush green countryside of Val d'Hérens before parting ways with your guide and transferring to the tranquil Alpine village of La Sage, where your luggage will be waiting at your boutique Alpine hotel..
Day 6: Relax or Explore the Valley
Spend a leisurely day soaking in the quiet beauty of Val d'Hérens. Visit charming nearby villages, explore short hiking trails, or simply relax at your hotel.
Day 7: Return to Geneva, Depart
Take a scenic bus ride to Sion, then board a direct train back to Geneva, traveling through the picturesque Rhône Valley.
